The farmhouse, with is the central building at the Il Poggio farm, provides elegant suites in Holiday farm while the apartments in Vacation rental reproduce the warmth of a country home in authentic Senese style but with all the modern comforts!

Here you’ll be surrounded by a splendid view of the hills and an unforgettable relaxing atmosphere. The furnishings are elegant and comfortable. Stylishly furnished according to the local traditions, the suites are cozy and intimate.

With warm pastel colored walls, these apartments include a large master bedroom with king size bed, a cozy reading corner and large bathroom with shower and relaxing whirlpoolbath. Your balcony may overlook the Val d’Orcia and Radicofani stronghold, or the just as breathtaking Valle dell’Elvella and Poggio Corno peak.

You’ll feel like the king of the southern slopes of the Val d’Orcia sitting comfortably on your sofa bed. If you look to the West you can enjoy the Crete Senesi with Monte Amiata and the Rocca di Ghino di Tacco in the background.

The Residence is located in the Farmhouse. The apartments are equipped with all the facilities and recreate a cozy rural settlement in a proper Senese style.

The two-bedroom apartments, on the first or ground floor are composed of: a master bedroom, a living room with kitchen nook and fireplace, a bathroom with shower.

The hilly position and the building conformation of the structure allow for a natural and pleasant climate even on summer days.

The ones on the ground floor own a private terrace, an ideal solution for families with children or for those people who want to grant more freedom to their pets.

In the restaurant, at the ground floor of the main villa, you can taste our expression of the Terre di Siena cooking made mainly with the products of our Organic Farm, in a rural atmosphere, but with a simple and accurate service. You will find tempting dishes of Cinta Senese and organic chicken from our breeding farm. High grade Chianina and Maremmana together with inviting Tuscan products, such as “pici pasta” or other hand-made pasta.

At Poggio, we are especially passionate about horses. In fact, we’re actually a FISE-affiliated equestrian center. Our riding school also organizes riding courses for childrenas well as horseback riding excursions that explore our farm and Val d’Orcia.

The equestrian centre Il Poggio offers to the most experienced riders the horseback riding in the country, and the complete introduction with several weekly formulas. Some examples are the summer weeksfor children, stages of induction and specialization to de different equestrian disciplines, the endurance and the hurdle jumping with our federal instructors.

Radicofani, known for its stronghold and the legendary deeds of Ghino di Tacco, the gentleman bandit. San Casciano dei Bagni, famous since the ancient Rome for its 46 hot springs and currently well-known for the new Fonteverde thermal spa resort, an ideal place to regain the psycho-physical well-being; the Il Poggio guests will enjoy special agreements as for the swimming pools entrance and some treatments.
